Randy Orton Reflects On How WWE Has Changed Under The New Regime
Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Randy Orton believes the week-to-week WWE product is much better now under Triple H because they plan things out months in advance.

WWE Superstar Randy Orton recently spoke with Adam’s Apple. When asked how WWE has changed with the recent regime change of Triple H taking control of the weekly product, Orton talked about how much better things are now from a creative standpoint.

“Gosh, with Nick Khan, Triple H, and just — Bruce Prichard even, so many things have changed. From a creative standpoint, they’re thinking months and months and months in advance. Before, we were kind of flying by the seat of our pants; creative was changed minutes before we went live each week. I don’t mean sometimes, I mean each week, creative was changed.

“It would be 5 PM; we’d be on the East Coast. We’re going live in two or three hours, and you wouldn’t know what you were doing. And that’s a very stressful environment and you’re not going to have the best product in the world if you’re doing it like that every week.

“So, just purely from a creative standpoint, you’re able to let it marinate and think about, okay, how am I going to do this? Well, how can I make this better? Or maybe there are tweaks, but you don’t do it ten minutes before you go live. Just as an example.”
