Inter Milan’s squad has risen €180 million in value since the start of the season thanks to Simone Inzaghi.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908.

This season, Inter have seen a number of players take a new step in quality compared to last.

That has been the case both in terms of the players who had already been fixtures in the starting eleven last season, and players who signed last summer.

The starters have largely hit a new level. But so have the players who are more of a peripheral role in the squad.

Inter captain Lautaro Martinez, Tuttosport note, is certainly worth well in excess of €100 million.

The Argentine would already have likely commanded a nine-figure transfer fee last summer. But this time around it’s virtually beyond doubt.

Meanwhile, midfielder Nicolo Barella may not be too far away from those kinds of figures.

Tuttosport note that even at the age of 27, the Inter midfielder would now be worth more than the €70 million or so that Newcastle United payed for Sandro Tonali last summer.

Inter Squad Value Rises Over €180M Under Simone Inzaghi

But those big names are just the beginning.

Tuttosport highlight the growth the Kristjan Asllani and Yann Bisseck have made this season.

The young duo have not exactly been regular starters for Inter. But whenever they have played, Inzaghi’s system has gotten the best out of them.

That, undoubtedly, sees the pair’s maket value having risen.

It’s a similar story with Carlos Augusto and Davide Frattesi, Tuttosport argue.

Then there is striker Marcus Thuram. The Frenchman joined Inter on a free transfer last summer – though his real market value would have been at least €30 million.

Now, though, Inter are not likely to let Thuram leave for less than his release clause.

That clause specifies a fee of €85 million.

Thuram’s value has exploded. And a big part of the reason for this is that the two-striker system than Inzaghi uses has made absolutely ideal use of his best qualities.
