WR Kenny Golladay 'trying everything' to return for 6-1 Giants

Wide receiver Kenny Golladay made it clear Thursday that watching the 6-1 New York Giants from the sidelines has left him yearning to contribute.

"Oh man, I want to be a part of it big time," Golladay said about the club's surprising run of form, per the Giants' website. "I'm trying everything to get back out there. I've never even been a part of a team that's gone 6-1. I'm trying to do everything to get back out there."

Golladay joined the Giants via a reported four-year deal worth up to $72 million ahead of the 2021 campaign and has disappointed throughout his tenure. Most recently, he has missed time due to a knee injury.

Across Golladay's four appearances this season, he's tallied two catches for 22 yards and zero touchdowns.

"I get jealous of the guys," Golladay added about the Giants winning six of their first seven contests ahead of Sunday's matchup at the 4-3 Seattle Seahawks. "In a good way, though. It motivates me even more to get out there with them just so I can put my little stamp on the game. However that comes – if it's in the blocking area, if it's in the pass-catching – that's the part I get jealous about. Just seeing the guys out there having fun with it."

RotoWire staff notes that Golladay didn't practice Thursday and is unlikely to play against Seattle and before New York's bye. Meanwhile, the 28-year-old offered his latest comments shortly after the Giants traded fellow underperforming receiver Kadarius Toney to the Kansas City Chiefs.

"Like I said, I'm going to reach to him," Golladay remarked about the transaction that likely isn't Big Blue's last before Tuesday's trade deadline. "I really didn't get a chance to talk to him and everything, I was doing my own little thing trying to get ready. I'm definitely going to reach out to him. We definitely built some type of relationship to the point where I do feel for him, definitely."

It's unknown if Golladay is on track to dress for the Week 10 home game against the Houston Texans on Nov. 13.
