Bengals center Ted Karras appeared on Up & Adams this week and dove into how the entire team needs to play better after Cincinnati's 1-3 start.
Karras discussed his point on Sunday that the offensive line needs to be perfect around Joe Burrow.
"This is a high-pressure high stakes league," Karras told Kay Adams. "I don't know the extent of what Joe's feeling, but regardless, everyone needs to pick up their game. Three points for our offense is obviously unacceptable. No one's coming out of that game feeling like they're playing their best. So what I wanted to communicate with that (perfect comment) was there's not a big margin of error in any O-line. But if your quarterback isn't feeling completely himself, it even tightens that window, so we need to have a great week of practice.
Cincinnati currently owns the sixth-worst pass-blocking grade on Pro Football Focus and is 18th in run-blocking grade.
The offensive line has to play better—especially the interior players—if Cincinnati wants to beat the odds again and make the playoffs after a slow start.
