Steelers’ Jaylen Warren Has Never Done This One Thing During A Football Game In His Career

"He doesn’t take his helmet off, and I’m not just talking about when he’s getting ready to go into the game or when he’s strapped up while Najee is getting his carries. He literally doesn’t take it off even when the defense is on the field."

Washburn recounted an intriguing anecdote about a photo he came across featuring Warren during the rookie mini camp. In the image, all participants were captured on the field without pads or helmets, except for Warren, who stood out as the sole individual donning a helmet while flexing.

"We showed this great picture during the broadcast as well, where at that rookie minicamp he had to prove himself to get a shot. They took a picture with all of the players and coaches. Everybody is casual and has helmets off. There’s Jaylen in the middle of the picture with his helmet on, flexing a little bit too."

While many athletes attending the camp were expected to secure a spot, Warren found himself in a different position. His coach always told his team that you never take your helmet off when you are on a football field unless you have to fix the helmet. That has always stuck with Warren and to this day, while he is on the football field, he will never take that helmet off.
