Recently Cut Buffalo Bills Star Signs With AFC Rival
Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

A recently cut Pro Bowl offensive lineman for the Buffalo Bills landed with an AFC Rival on Monday morning. The Bills cut a plethora of All-Pro and Pro Bowl-caliber talent on Wednesday as they attempted to balance their books for the upcoming season.

The Buffalo Bills made a lot of cuts last week

Per GH Media, a few players from the defense:

On Wednesday afternoon, the Bills released several key members of the defense, including safety Jordan Poyer.

The Bills didn’t stop there. They cut Siran Neal,  Deonte Harty, Nyheim Hines, and Tre’Davious White.

One of the cuts included center Mitch Morse, who made the Pro Bowl in 2022. The Bills plan to move Connor McGovern from guard to center to replace Morse for the 2024 season. Last week, the Bills traded backup center Ryan Bates to the Chicago Bears for a fifth-round pick.

Morse quickly found a new home for the 2024 season.

Mitch Morse signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars

Per Mike Garafolo with the NFL Network, Mose signed a two-year deal worth $10.5 million with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Morse was a former second-round pick with the Kansas City Chiefs. He will again play for head coach Doug Pederson, who was his offensive coordinator in Kansas City.

The Jaguars should be a playoff contender in 2024

Morse will go from protecting Josh Allen to blocking for Trevor Lawrence. The Jaguars needed to boost their offensive line in a bid to keep Lawrence healthy for the 2024 season. The Jaguars should be playoff contender next season, and Morse could be a key addition for a squad that could matchup with the Bills next January.
