Ravens' Patrick Queen shares claim about 49ers, Dolphins

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Patrick Queen spoke during a Thursday appearance on "The Rich Eisen Show" about how the club notched dominant back-to-back victories over the San Francisco 49ers and Miami Dolphins.

"It's tells in what Miami does and what San Fran does that I can't say right now, just in case we have to see those guys again," Queen directly said, per David Bonilla of 49ers WebZone.

At San Francisco's Levi's Stadium on Christmas night, the Ravens intercepted 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy on four occasions in a 33-19 win that helped Baltimore's Lamar Jackson leapfrog Purdy in MVP conversations.

As of late Thursday afternoon, DraftKings Sportsbook listed Jackson as the runaway betting favorite to earn MVP honors at -20000 odds. Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys was at +1800, followed by Purdy at +3000.

In this past Sunday's matchup at Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium, the Ravens intercepted Miami's Tua Tagovailoa twice during what became a 56-19 laugher. The Ravens and 49ers both earned No. 1 seeds for the postseason tournament before Week 18.

"You just got to hit the guys for four quarters," Queen said without specifically revealing any "tells" to Eisen. "That's it. And if it takes longer, do it for longer. It really just comes down to, it's football. It's got to be a physical game. It's a physical sport."

Also on Thursday, DraftKings Sportsbook had the 13-3 Ravens (+140) and 12-4 49ers (-120) as the betting favorites to represent their conferences in Super Bowl LVIII next month.

Such a rematch would give Purdy a chance to redeem himself, but Queen suggested the Baltimore defense wouldn't take the second-year pro lightly despite what happened on Dec. 25.

"He can make every throw on the field," Queen said about Purdy. "He can make all the reads. And we just knew that if we could get pressure on him, and just keep the pocket on him, and not give him clear lanes to throw, that we could definitely affect him. ... But I still think he's a great quarterback."

Depending on what occurs during the playoffs, Baltimore coaches may find themselves wishing that Queen waited until after the Super Bowl to share such inside information about what was and wasn't seen on game film in December.
