Rams HC Sean McVay: 'There's definitely interest' in eight-time Pro Bowl LB Bobby Wagner

The Los Angeles Rams lost linebacker Von Miller to the Buffalo Bills earlier this month but are perhaps interested in adding to the position with another eight-time Pro Bowler.

After being selected 47th overall in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks, Wagner spent the first 10 seasons of his career with the franchise, but was released in early March. At 31 years old, Wagner is still playing at a high level, as he recorded a career-high 170 tackles last season, while adding five passes defended and earning his eighth consecutive Pro Bowl nod.

He is first among active players with 1,383 combined tackles and has been one of the most durable players on defense over the last decade. Wagner has been on the field for at least 85% of the Seattle's defensive snaps in every year he's been in the league, and since his second season in 2013, he's been on the field for at least 93% of the team's snaps on defense as well.

Wagner's release from the Seahawks, at first, appeared to be an amicable breakup. Soon after, though, the six-time All-Pro called out the organization for the way the release was handled and the team took the blame.

The Utah St. product visited with the Rams last week, but it's been reported that the asking price for Wagner's next contract may be out of the range of what Los Angeles can spend. Wagner will turn 32 in June.
