Packers RB Aaron Jones out one to two weeks with MCL sprain

Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones has sustained a mild MCL sprain and will miss one to two weeks, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Monday morning.

Jones, 26, exited Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks in the third quarter. After a six-yard run, the fifth-year RB was seen grabbing his right knee before needing assistance to walk off the field. He had seven carries for 25 yards and four catches for 61 yards when he left the game.

Jones has missed time before due to MCL sprains, including one in his right knee during the 2018 season.

The good news for the Packers is that Jones is only expected to be sidelined for a week or two. Green Bay has already been deemed the favorite to win next week's game against the host Minnesota Vikings but could be challenged the following week against a well-rested L.A. Rams defense that is ranked eighth in the league in least rushing yards allowed per game

The Packers signed Jones to a four-year, $48 million deal back in March.
