49ers Webzone's Wayne Brown is at the Senior Bowl this week and spoke with Rice wide receiver Luke McCaffrey, the younger brother of San Francisco 49ers star running back Christian McCaffrey. Brown inquired about possibly becoming teammates with his older brother, should the Niners be interested in him.
"It would be a dream come true," the aspiring rookie told Brown.
Luke elaborated, adding, "That's something that, it would really just be an honor, be a blessing. But I'm so excited to go through this process, just working my butt off to make any team that'll take me."

Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 200 pounds, Luke hauled in 71 receptions for 992 yards and 13 touchdowns this past season, per Sports Reference, averaging 14.2 yards per catch. He also carried the football 15 times for 117 yards (7.8 yards per carry).
In December, Christian McCaffrey shared his enthusiasm about the prospect of playing alongside his younger brother.
"I would love to play with him one day," the older McCaffrey said. "That would be the coolest thing ever. So I'm excited for him and his journey, and he's only going to get better."
Christian offered a scouting report on his brother, stating, "He's got every tool you need. He's fast, he's big, he's strong. He can play any position. [49ers RB coach] Bobby Turner always talks about the greatest compliment you can give someone is that they're a football player, and that's exactly what he is. Look at how many SportsCenter top catches or whatever he had."
Luke is a converted quarterback. The Rice receiver earned first-team All-AAC honors this season.
