It’s believed this is an isolated case. But Crowder is going on the COVID list and his status is now up in the air for the Week 1 opener against the #Panthers.
Crowder sat out practice Thursday with what Jets head coach Robert Saleh said was a groin issue. The seven-year veteran caught 59 passes for 699 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games last season.
Crowder's vaccination status is unclear. However, if he has received the shots, he'll be required to return two negative tests one day apart to return to the Jets' facility. If he is unvaccinated, he'll be sidelined a minimum 10 days.
The 28-year-old is entering the final season of a three-year, $28.5 million deal with the Jets and will be an unrestricted free agent after the 2021 campaign.
Before signing with the Jets, Crowder spent four seasons with the Washington Football Team. In 84 career games, he has 358 receptions for 4,160 yards and 26 touchdowns.
