Jets WR Jamison Crowder a game-time decision against Broncos with groin injury

New York Jets wide receiver Jamison Crowder will be a game-time decision for Sunday's contest against the Denver Broncos, head coach Robert Saleh said Friday, according to Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus.

Crowder missed Week 1 after testing positive for COVID-19 and was a surprise inactive for Week 2 against the New England Patriots. The 28-year-old has been battling a nagging groin injury since training camp.

Crowder is entering the final season of a three-year, $28.5 million deal with the Jets and will be an unrestricted free agent after the 2021 campaign. He caught 59 passes for 699 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games last season.

If Crowder is unavailable this weekend, the Jets will continue to rely on Corey Davis, rookie Elijah Moore and Braxton Berrios, with Keelan Cole and Jeff Smith in reserve.

Berrios has been rookie quarterback Zach Wilson's top target this season. The fourth-year Jet has 12 catches for 124 yards.

The Jets are 0-2 this season with losses to the Carolina Panthers and Patriots. They are the underdog entering Week 3 against the 2-0 Broncos.
