Former New York Jets QB Tim Tebow refused to swear in the huddle

Don’t even think about labeling a football play with any profanity when Tim Tebow is the quarterback. The play might not be relayed correctly in the huddle.

While on BroBible’s “Endless Hustle Podcast,” former New York Jets center Nick Mangold revealed a hilarious truth about the squeaky-clean Tebow.

“We had a play that was the ‘Y oh s–t screen,’ where the tight end actually fakes like he fell down on a running play, hops up, runs back over, throw back to the tight end and it’s usually wide open,” Mangold said.

“[Tebow] goes through the whole formation and gets to the last play: ‘Y, Alright Screen … you guys know what it is.’ And we’re like, ‘No Tim, what is it?’ He goes, ‘No, I’m not going to say it.’”

Tebow, 33, continues to play baseball professionally within the New York Mets organization while also working college football games for ESPN.

Despite signing Tebow before the 2012 season, the Rex Ryan-led squad never could quite get him going within the offense. He attempted to take on a Taysom Hill-type role. Instead, he and Mark Sanchez could never make it work under then-offensive coordinator Tony Sparano.

Tebow threw for just 39 yards and no touchdowns on 6 of 8 passing and rushed the ball for just 102 yards on 32 carries. He also played special teams, including serving as the personal protector on the punt team.
