Colts hold tryout involving five-time Pro Bowler
Jarvis Landry. Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports

The Indianapolis Colts had a couple of roster spots open up this week. Could former star wide receiver Jarvis Landry nab one of them?

The Colts suspended cornerback Tony Brown and wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie for “conduct detrimental to the team.”

The suspensions led to the Colts calling for a tryout Tuesday with Landry as one of the participants, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston.

Landy has yet to play this season after last suiting up for the New Orleans Saints during the 2022 campaign. In five games played for the Saints, Landry tallied 39 catches for 272 yards with a touchdown.

The 31-year-old wideout made five straight Pro Bowl teams from 2015-19 while playing for the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns. He led the NFL in receptions in 2017 with 112 catches for 987 yards.

The Colts have been one of the surprise postseason contenders this season. At 8-6 through 15 weeks, Indianapolis enter this week in a three-way tie with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans for the AFC South lead.

The Colts have gotten to this point a season-ending injury to their tantalizing quarterback prospect.
