Bears' Cole Kmet tells what really happened vs. the Raiders
USA TODAY Sports

The Las Vegas Raiders came out and laid an egg against the Chicago Bears when they should have beaten them. They should have beaten them badly, too, but instead, they were the ones getting beaten badly. It wasn't very good, to say the least, and was very embarrassing, to say the least.

The Bears were one of the worst teams in football, if not the worst, and they were without several starts, including their starting quarterback. Instead, McDaniels was out-coached by Matt Eberflus, and Brian Hoyer was out-played by an undrafted rookie Division Two quarterback.

Last season, they lost to the Arizona Cardinals after having a 20-0 halftime lead. They lost to the New Orleans Saints in shut-out fashion, as the Raiders didn't cross midfield once. They blew a pretty nice lead to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

They lost to Baker Mayfield and the Los Angeles Rams after he was with the team for just two full days. And then they lost to the Indianapolis Colts, who were head coached by Jeff Saturday, with no prior coaching experience besides the fact he was coaching high school football just a week prior.

The Raiders looked lost, as it truly was one of the more weird games we have seen. However, now one of the players that beat the Raiders is revealing why that happened.

"I thought they were a little jet-lagged, I'm not going to lie," Bears tight end Cole Kmet said on a podcast. "I'm serious; the team we saw on tape was not the team we played. They were gassed."

Kmet also went on to say that the Bears run game is what made the Raiders' defense gassed. They would get a first down on the first down play by way of the run, and it would just have the defense gassed.

Kmet isn't wrong, and that could very well be the same issue with the offense - they were gassed or had jet lag. Let's just hope they come much more prepared for the Detroit Lions game so they don't get embarrassed on national TV.
