49ers' Fred Warner shares bold prediction ahead of playoffs

Add linebacker Fred Warner to the list of San Francisco 49ers players feeling confident the NFC's No. 1 seed will be the last team standing come February.

"Like this isn't about you, this is about the team and I truly believe in the men in this building," Warner confidently declared during the latest edition of "The Warner House" podcast, per Steph Sanchez of 49ers WebZone. "We're gonna get it done."

Dual-threat offensive weapon Deebo Samuel raised eyebrows when he recently said he's convinced the current 49ers are better than the 2019 edition of the club that lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV. According to ESPN stats, San Francisco enters the postseason tournament leading the NFC with an average of 398.4 offensive yards per game. The 49ers are also eighth in the entire league in total defense (303.9 yards surrendered per game).

"We aced the season but the goal is that trophy at the end," Warner added during the podcast episode. "The thought that we're only playing a couple games left, if we take care of business is like… how can you not sell out? How can you not use every day as if it's your last? That's the whole mindset since training camp but now we're literally in it. It truly is a new season. You got to really re-commit, re-dial in, completely give yourself to this thing that we're trying to achieve."

Warner's take that the 49ers "aced the season" is interesting, as the club suffered a humbling 33-19 home loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Christmas night that essentially guaranteed San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy won't win the Most Valuable Player Award for the campaign. With that said, DraftKings Sportsbook listed the 49ers late Wednesday morning as the betting favorites at +220 odds over the Ravens (+310) to win Super Bowl LVIII.

If nothing else, Warner and Samuel have made it known that 49ers players have embraced a "Super Bowl or bust" mentality following Week 18.
