Virginia Tech originally was slated to play against NC State on Sept. 12, but that game was postponed due to an increase in coronavirus cases in the Wolfpack's athletic department.
While Virginia won the most recent meeting against Virginia Tech, the Hokies have dominated their state rival over the last two decades. Virginia has just two wins against Virginia Tech since 1999.
Virginia Tech leads the all-time series 58-38-5, and the Hokies are primed to defeat their rival once again this season.
