The Arkansas State Red Wolves announced on Tuesday that Saturday's game versus Central Arkansas has been rescheduled to Oct. 10.
In its official statement, Arkansas State said:
"The game's postponement is due to Arkansas State being unable to assemble a full two-deep depth chart at a specific position group due to player unavailability.
"It was not the volume of total players unavailable, but rather the inability to field a safe number of players among the depleted position group that required the game be rescheduled."
As Adam Rittenberg of ESPN explained, Arkansas State was without nine starters due to injuries and the coronavirus for the team's 35-31 upset win over Kansas State last Saturday. It's believed the program's Sept. 26 contest against Tulsa will still go on as scheduled.
An Oct. 10 fixture involving Central Arkansas and Eastern Kentucky was pushed back to Oct. 24.
